Ratings and Reviews
See AllVery helpful for focus and concentration
This app has been tremendously helpful for me. As someone who deals with multiple issues affecting my ability to think and pay attention. I noticed they recently updated which excites me. I would also like to options to gain better habits instead of just breaking bad habits. If they could go further with the interactiveness also would be useful; maybe instead on just yes or no and giving ratings, have the audience list out some of the thoughts. I know Spiegel can’t respond to everyone but he can train A.I (through secure databases not shared with other companies) to come up with a system to guide this. Direct responses aren’t necessary but leave questions with open responses and have A.I summarize and direct the audience to go further. Also it would be cool to have features that guide users into stronger skills to go with self-hypnosis such as mindfulness & meditation, journaling, and even implementation of binaural beats which are also gaining traction in the mental health space.
Concerning payments
I went over the information for this app and liked what I saw. I decided to try out this app and sign up for a subscription, especially since the payments were so low, $8.14 a month I think. I might be wrong in stating that amount because it’s been 6 weeks since I originally signed up for this app. I was charged a full year’s subscription charge on my credit card before I could do anything to stop it. There was no monthly payment charges going on my credit card! This app charged my credit card for the whole annual fee all at once with no intention of charging any monthly payments.
I don’t like being lied to about anything. I know I can easily make payments on my credit card every month, but I didn’t want the balance increasing that much all at once or the annual fee earning that much interest on my card over the entire time that it would’ve taken me to make those planned payments. It was a huge matter of principle.
Now I’m having to make a second request trying to get a refund of where I was charged twice for this annual fee. I obviously canceled my subscription due to the dishonesty I spoke of above and the bad taste it left behind. I don’t expect any problems with Apple issuing a refund to me for the double charge, except that it took a second request to get it done, but that’s personal. Anyway, everyone please be careful with these apps. They can cause a lot of financial problems if you’re not very careful and pay close attention.

Hi! I'm really sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused. We offer both monthly and yearly subscriptions, but the yearly plan is charged upfront at a different rate. I sincerely apologize if this wasn't clear, and we’ll review our messaging to prevent misunderstandings. Double charges are often caused by accidentally creating two accounts. Please reach out to us at support@reveri.com so we can look into this for you and ensure everything is resolved.
Might work, but too expensive for what it is.
At first I found the app (specifically within the exercises) to be kind of confusing, or the pace to be off-putting. I think you have to do each one a few times because the directions are not always clear or consistent the first time through, and you can find yourself getting pulled out of it, which seems detrimental to the goal. I upgraded my rating to 3 stars from 2, because after you get the hang of it, it might be helpful. It was somewhat relaxing, but whether it’s more effective than just taking 5 minutes to meditate I’m not sure. I’m on the free trial and haven’t noticed much difference in admittedly little time. Frankly, I don’t want to pay what they’re asking for something that may not work for me, especially because there isn’t much there, and the app isn’t very prescriptive. There seems to be 1 unique short audio clip for a given problem you’d like to address, and then a bunch of shorter (many 1 minute) more generic ones. Perhaps if you are really good at self hypnosis, you can get yourself into the hypnotic state for a 1 minute clip to do something for you, but I just don’t believe that would work for me, and I’m not willing to pay to find out. Hopefully this app works for some people.
Developer Response ,
Hey Eduardo, thank you for your thoughtful review. I'm glad to hear Reveri has helped you to a certain degree. Some people do indeed require a bit more consistent practice to experience great benefits with self-hypnosis. Many people like to start with our Interactive sessions because they are much more variable than the Listening Only versions, and it's like being in a 1:1 setting with Dr Spiegel. Have you tried this version? I'm curious to know what your primary goal is with Reveri, if you are willing to share, so that I can better guide you and also work with our team to make the app more intuitive and helpful for people like you. Please send me a note if you'd like to work directly with me on making the most out of your Reveri experience: support@reveri.com - Shelby from the Reveri Team
